Sheds & outbuildings

From a backyard garden shed to a farm workshop, KL Carpentry & Construction builds sheds and outbuildings across the Murray region. Because Kodee holds his own excavator, skid steer and truck tickets, site preparation and construction can be handled by one crew.

What we build

  • Kit shed assembly (steel frame)
  • Timber-framed sheds, studios and workshops
  • Carports and garages
  • Farm and rural sheds
  • Site cuts, levelling and slab preparation

How we approach it

Most shed problems start at ground level: a site that isn't level, a slab poured out of square, or water running towards the door. We cut and level the site, set out the slab to the kit's dimensions and plan for drainage before anything goes up.

Many sheds need building approval. Rules differ between NSW and Victorian councils, so check with your council or ask us at the quote what's likely to apply.

Kodee holds a contractor licence issued by NSW Fair Trading and is currently working towards his builder's licence. Where a job needs a licensed builder or a licensed trade such as plumbing or electrical, we tell you upfront. About licensing

Common questions

Can you put up a kit shed I've already bought?

Yes. We assemble kit sheds and can also prepare the site and slab beforehand.

Do you do the site cut too?

Yes. Kodee holds excavator, skid steer and dump truck tickets, so site preparation doesn't need a separate contractor.

Do I need a permit for a shed?

It depends on size, height and location. Contact your local council, and we'll tell you what we know when we quote.
